Our classrooms follow a structured daily schedule designed to nurture each child’s growth and development. Through engaging, age-appropriate activities, students build foundational skills in letters, numbers, colors, shapes, and fine motor development. Teachers conduct annual assessments and hold parent-teacher conferences to ensure families stay informed and involved as their children progress toward important developmental milestones.

Celebrations are a special part of life at our Learning Center, and parents are always invited to join the fun. Throughout the year, families gather for events such as Halloween Trunk or Treat, our Winter Festival, Mardi Gras parade, Field Day, classroom holiday parties, and our beloved annual Thanksgiving lunch. These joyful traditions create lasting memories, strengthen community, and give parents the opportunity to share in their children’s school experiences.

The Learning Center is a mission of ChristChurch Presbyterian. We expose the children to the concepts of giving thanks before snacks and meals and learning age-appropriate prayers and songs. Each week, children attend chapel led by our minister, where they learn about God’s love through age-appropriate Bible stories and simple, meaningful lessons. These gatherings encourage kindness, compassion, and respect for one another while helping children build a foundation of faith in a warm and supportive environment.

During after school care, children are provided a healthy snack, homework assistance and fun activities. Holiday Camps and Summer Camp is available during H.I.S.D teacher in-service days, spring break and most holidays plus the entire summer school closure period.
