News is inevitable--whether it be good or bad, but what better way to extract hope from this input, is to juxtapose Bible verses as tools to persevere and navigate our daily walk in Christian faith.

During Lent we shared a special Sunday morning class. In this class we explored the rich and fascinating use of vines, vineyards, and wine as metaphors throughout the Bible. With more than 400 references to these images in Scripture, they clearly held deep meaning for the people who first heard them—from the prophets to Christ himself.  Together, we examined why these metaphors mattered then and why they continue to matter for us today.
