Nursery:  Room 104, downstairs in the Education Building

 

All Children's Sunday School classes are on the second floor of the Education Building. The Nursery, for children under three years of age, is located in Room 104, downstairs in the Education Building.

 

Pre-K through First Grade:  Godly Play

    Godly Play teaches children the art of using religious language - parable, sacred story, silence, and liturgical action - to help them become more fully aware of God's presence in their lives.  Children thrive and enjoy the quiet in a noisy world.

 

Second through Sixth Grades:  Workshop Rotation Model

     All children gather at 9am in Room 207, where a light snack is served.  Students are greeted and reminded of the day's lesson by their shepherds, then they divide into two groups and move to their scheduled workshop location.

 

     ChristChurch has implemented The Workshop-Rotation Model, which reorganizes the way students learn, not what they are taught.    Kids rotate by class into a different workshop (art, drama, games, cooking, etc.) each week for a three, four or five week period.    Each workshop teaches through a different style of learning, and this multiple-intelligences approach enhances the learning process. 

     We have two rotations:  2nd and 3rd grades; and 4th - 6th grades.
