Our Youth are taking two mission trips during the sumer of 2008.

 

MISSION TRIP: Carthage, Texas

Dates: June 22-27, 2008

 

This trip is open to all youth who will have completed 6th grade and up.  In fact, this trip is primarily an alternative for the 6th grade students who are not eligible for the Mexico trip.  However, for those of you who will be out of town for our Mexico trip or who want to participate in TWO mission trips, we hope you will also attend.  This is a Youthworks trip to Carthage, Texas wth Kids' Club and will include home improvement and house painting projects.  The cost is $270 per person.

 

MISSION TRIP:  Reynosa, Mexico/McAllen Texas

Dates: July 20-26, 2008

 

We will travel to Mexico with our friends from St. John's Presbyterian.  The goal of this trip is to build TWO houses! We will be lodging in McAllen, Texas, at St. Mark's United Methodist Church.  Showers are on-site, along with a gym and full kitchen.  We will travel each day into Reynosa, Mexico, where we will construct a block house.  This trip is open to all youth who will ahve completed 7th grade and up.  Passports will be required.
